NBIC Developers Circle

Developers Circle is mainly meant for people having projects related to software development, if they need help with the projects they are working on, if they have things they need to implement or anything about mobile application.

The group consists of manageble group of people but more people are welcome to attend. They will be meeting each Tuesday. It is intersting that people are working on project and it seems like so many people are eager to learn and to start new things. The programming language they will be working on is Java. The facilitator Dr. Kasper Jensen suggested that they are willing to help if anyone is having problem with the projects they are working on.

Sharing ideas in this workshop is the main key. Those people working on prototypes they want to commecialise or if they want to make a business out of it then they can go to NBIC. The interesting thing is that they want people to develop mobile applications as it will be a huge market in Namibia and for those people that want to play around with cool devices.

Fablab Namibia want people that can program chips for robots controlled by mobile phones (smartphones). But since these developers are experts hopefully they will be able to do massive programming.

Since in Namibia most of software are outsourced, they want to give these people skills so that everything can be done in Namibia and that they can pass on the skills to the next generation.
