My Creepy personality

I'm a 24 year old male, and I've always been inaudible around people , Especially those that I’m not close with. I put on a non-smiling face to make sure no one would want to get close to me. I’m too protective over myself, it’s not like I have been hurt by someone but I just don’t trust people. I feel free when I’m around animal than when I’m with so many people at one place. I am always quite, when I talk it’s when I have something important to say.

‘A walk in the technology world, Blessed twice’ compiled by Aini

It’s that time again, whereby I could say; I’m blessed again to receive such a wonderful opportunity from the Namibian Business Innovation Centre. It all started a year ago, with the social media training, and this year I had the same lucky to join and be trained as an Online Marketing consultant.
On the first day of training, 29th January 2013, Mustafa Mor of NBIC introduced us to a topic of online marketing…….what it is? And what you need to be able to execute the tasks as an online consultant for any company, big or small.
Mr. Mor said and I quote “your online marketing goal depends on the campaign you‘re working on, and/or product of that company, and what you want to offer to companies”.
During the training, I had an opportunity to gain extra knowledge about presentation skills as presented by Mr. Mufaro Nesongano. When presenting, you need to find an image that suits you best, and to build good will with your audience. In that time, you need to inform and persuade your clients in buying your offer especially when following the six tips below;
·         Body language
·         Announce “This is important”
·         Pause, just before and after
·         Make the audience laugh just before
·         Look your audience in the eye, not too obvious
·         Smile and relax
·         Tell a  story
Its then I realized I too lack this; I become nervous and get stage flight when presenting. But like the saying goes, never give up and always have a vision in life.
Ø
Second training day, 30th January 2013, I learned how search engine works, thanks to my facilitator Mr. Mor.
I learned that the search engine rank keywords as to how many times people/ users search for them on the internet, which was actually amazing because that never closed my mind but I ask myself, how does the computer and internet work? It’s pretty fascinating to learn about this.
“Never wish life were easier, wish that you were better”

Michael Bolton As Good Leader

As one of the world’s leading thinkers of soul and rock musics, Michael Bolton has pioneered his musical career in the middle of the 1970s. Achieving  and receiving awards from both the American Music awards and Grammy Awards. He is one of those artists with songs that inspire, motivates as well as educating. Believe me, all his songs have massages that one can learn something from it, unlike some of nowadays artist who release songs without any message and too noisy. He established the Michael Bolton Foundation (now Michael Bolton Charities) to assist women and children at risk from the effects of poverty as well as emotional, physical, and sexual abuse. As we breathing to day,The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce  also recognised Bolton with a star on the Hollywood walk Fame for his musical and charitable contributions.

Arsene Wenger...a true leader

Leadership is plainly defined as, "organizing a group of people to achieve a common goal". One of the people I look up to in the "leadership" context is the coach of my favourite football team, Arsenal, Arsene Wenger. He is a very charismatic leader, and he stood by his decisions through thick and thin. That is a quality of leadership called taking responsibility for both wins and losses. He had also showed another quality of a true leader by admitting whenever he had made a mistake, and taking ownership of it.

workshop by Dave Daurte

Having positive people around you can change your way of thinking, with Dave Daurte that is what i learned. taking a risk means you are willing to make a mistake or likely to fail, do not be afraid to make something out of your life if it is inspiration you need go out and see what problem is there and how you are able to solve it by starting a business. taking up such a big responsibility means that your biggest challenge is time, yes time can be a very big challenge. you need to be committed to what you are about to start, you need to be dedicated to your project. i have realized if you have this big idea  and you want to take it out there, you would want everything to be perfect and you take such a lot of time to prepare it before you get to launch your business, and the hard work you put in the and money. but you need to remember  fresh idea needs to be acted upon immediately. you don't need to be Einstein to get your business started.

My business model class 21/08/2012

The social media class started off with a presentation on "The business model canvass". It's a new concept to me, and I plan on pursuing further research on it. I reckon it would help when I start my own business.
I presented a quote by an american businessman, Donald "The Donald" Trump. He said:"As long as you're going to think anyway, think big". I also gave my own interpretation on the quote, which in short means that thinking big is the beginning to success.
